Top UK Property Award for Perthshire Architect Firm's Redevelopment Project

The talent and vision of a rural Perthshire architectural business has seen it lift one of the UK's top property/design awards for the magnificent renovation/restoration/development of the stunningly beautiful Taymouth Castle complex in Kenmore Perthshire.

McKenzie Strickland Associates, based in Aberfeldy and Crieff, has won the award, against very stiff competition, to lift the 5 Star Gold and Platinum Awards in the UK Commercial Property Awards ceremony at London's Lancaster Hotel last week. 2011 in the category of 'Best Commercial Renovation /Redevelopment'

Nominees for the award were invited to attend a high profile gala dinner at the Lancaster Hotel in London's on Friday, October 28th. The competition for a place in the final was intense, with entries from the whole of the UK but when the winners were announced, it was the talented young team from Perthshire, Mckenzie Strickland Associates, which scooped the prize!

The event, sponsored by Google and Bloomberg, is organised by International Property Awards; it's the world's most prestigious competition of it's type, dedicated to finding the best real estate developments across the globe.

Eric Strickland, McKenzie Strickland Associates' Senior Partner, said winning the award was fantastic recognition for a Scottish architectural practice, Perthshire based and proof that Scotland is not only able to compete, but to triumph in the highly competitive UK commercial property arenas.

Next month, top scoring winners from the UK Commercial Property Awards will compete against other winning companies from Asia Pacific, Europe & Africa, the Americas and Arabia to find the ultimate "World's Best" in each category.

Judging is carried out through a meticulous process involving a panel of over 80 experts and covering every aspect of the property business. The judges are not only looking for the most impressive and innovative projects, they are also examining the sustainability and eco-friendliness of every property and development that comes under their scrutiny.
